Although producers have revealed only little information about the series finale of “The Vampire Diaries,” viewers are already guaranteed that it is going to be epic. In fact, it has been titled “I Was Feeling Epic.” It looks like “TVD” is set to give its followers something to remember for life.

Spoiler alert! This article contains "The Vampire Diaries" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the new episode airs.

In the latest episode of the pioneering vampire series from The CW, a long-awaited wedding between vampires Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) was aired. While this grand moment is worth gushing about, it was actually hastily thrown together in a scuffled attempt to trap Katherine (Nina Dobrev).

Wesley himself told The Hollywood Reporter that he had always known that once the proposal took place, they would actually go through with the wedding. He says that if they had not gotten married, he would expect a real twist. Also, he said that co-creator Julie Plec would not torture fans just like that since she is a nice person.

As confirmed, Nina Dobrev will be back for the final episode. However, how she will reveal herself and at what cost remains for everyone to discover. Wesley also noted how it is just fitting to have Dobrev back and that it would be very strange for the show to close if she didn’t. She is part of a plot that is too important. It would be a real shame if “TVD” ended with her part hanging.

While fans are excited to see Elena Gilbert return, it is almost sure that such return will come at a cost. Also, it has already been confirmed by Plec earlier that somebody will be dead before the show ends. Buddy TV gives a rundown of who could die on the final episode, and this list includes Dobrev herself.

Of course, they might not want to bring her back just to kill her again, but her character has barely been able to rest since her coffin had been moved somewhere very far to keep her safe from those against her. There are a lot of people in the show who would still chase after her for the cure. She might not get the conclusion that fans hope for; but for sure, she will deliver something for everyone to remember.

“The Vampire Diaries” finally ends its run in March 10. It airs on The CW in the US and on FOX8 in Australia.
