'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 episode 8 spoilers: Damon & Stefan take a deadlier turn; Sybil tries to increase her power in ‘We Have History Together'

“The Vampire Diaries” is about to return for the mid-season and that means that fans have only a few weeks left before the show ends for good. However, there are a lot of exciting things coming up, especially after Stefan turns off his humanity switch. To sweeten the deal, the upcoming episode is directed by Ian Somerhalder himself.

On the next episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” titled “We Have History Together,” Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) will be seen deadlier than they have ever been on the show. They are looking for the next victim to exploit. As for Sybil (Nathalie Kelley), she will still be alive and will take a whole high school class hostage.

Damon and Stefan will work together to serve Cade (Wole Parks) and bring him souls. To do this, they will join an anger management support group in the attempt to bring their next victim in. As executive producer Julie Plec warned earlier, another major death will occur when the show returns and that means viewers should be watching closely.

As for Sybil, she will take on an innocent group of high school students to get Caroline Forbes (Candice King) to accede to her demands. She will try to locate a powerful historical artifact that can be used against her. Meanwhile, Stefan and Damon will continue their commitment to Cade as they test the morals of a young doctor.

This episode was directed by Ian Somerhalder himself and was written by Matthew D’Ambrosio. It takes after the events of episode 7, titled “The Next Time I Hurt Somebody, It Could Be You.”

“The Vampire Diaries” will resume airing on January 13, 2017. It will also air in Australia on FOX8.
