'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 episode 12 spoilers: Bonnie bids goodbye to Enzo; Maxwell journal may prove to Cade’s final undoing in ‘What Are You?’

“The Vampire Diaries” is nearing its final ever episode and fans are excited to find out how loose ends made over the last eight years will be tied. Season 8 episode 12, titled “What Are You?,” will be about making sacrifices for love and for the good of all, even if they mean breaking relationships and saying goodbye.
In the previous episode, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) returned to Mystic Falls but had brought someone with him -- Cade (Wole Parks). With the devil himself wreaking havoc around town, expect the stakes to go as high as ever in the weeks to come.

The cure for vampirism and immortality was first introduced in Season 4, but not everybody wanted it. Viewers were even saddened when Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) got forced to use it on Katherine who was not interested in it at all.
In the previous episode, it again happened in almost the same way, but the recipient made it more interesting. Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), who had to be tricked into drinking Katherine’s blood, had become human once again.
Sadly, the episode had a devastating ending because Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey) died as Stefan ripped out his heart. All this happened when they were getting ready to start a new life. Fans might be devastated to see Enzo go in such a brutal manner, but spoilers reveal that this will not be the last that fans will see of him. He will be appearing again before the series finale.
In season 8 episode 12, titled “What Are You,” viewers are in for a heartbreaking scene as Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) bids goodbye to the love of her life. The official Youtube promo also teases that Damon will do everything within his power to save his brother. will reach a deal with Cade to get the Maxwell journal so that they can rescue Stefan’s soul. Unfortunately, getting the journal might not be easy as it seems.
Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) and Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) will refuse to hand it over since it might contain the only key to destroying Cade for good. In the meantime, Caroline will desperately do what she can to contact Stefan before Cade successfully carries out his evil plan.
Season 8 episode 12 of “The Vampire Diaries” will air on February 10 on The CW. It will also air in Australia on FOX8.
