A previously released promo trailer for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 revealed that Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) will appear in the new season of the CW TV series through Elena's (Nina Dobrev) hallucinations. The latest scoop or spoiler report on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 teased another way for the dead TVD character to appear in an upcoming episode.

Executive producer Caroline Dries shared in an exclusive E!Online TV Scoop report that flashback scenes are coming up in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. "We will see an era we haven't seen before in flashbacks and it will help tie together a bunch of storylines," Dries teased.

The report further noted down that the fans can see the flashback scenes featuring the Salvatore brothers, Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley), in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 4. Executive producer Julie Plec has also teased some details for the upcoming new season but the information she shared is about the new villain of the show.

In an Entertainment Weekly spoiler report, Julie Plec stated that the new season will have several "conflict providers" and there is a villain-esque person she is particularly excited for the TVD fans to meet. The executive producer further added that she is very excited this time because the viewers will be exploring the deep and dark mind of a psychopathic personality.

With new faces or characters set to be introduced in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, they could be the "conflict providers" with any one of them having the psychopathic personality in the TV series. First on the list is the militia leader named Tripp (Colin Ferguson) who will do anything in order to protect his town from the supernatural world.

The other new characters that the fans should watch out for in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 are Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), a doctor at the university hospital and Alaric's (Matt Davis) new love interest, and Ivy (Emily C. Chang), Stefan's new lady love who happens to have an "unexpected wild side."

Watch the flashback scenes of the Salvatore brothers and find out which villain has the "psychopathic personality" when "The Vampire Diaries" returns with season 6. The premiere episode of the brand new season titled "I'll Remember" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
