There’s no doubt that "This Is Us" star Mandy Moore has created a wholesome image for herself, but it seems she also has a dark side.

The 32-year-old singer-actress recently revealed that she has a tattoo of a cartoon sperm on her foot. Her reason, as she shared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” is downright bizarre [watch below]. She said her choice of ink is to somehow commemorate a private joke between her and her band about masturbation.

“About 10 years ago, I was on tour with my band,” Moore told Meyers. “When you go city to city, you’re in a bus, but you get a day room. I was the only girl so I had my own room to shower in and all of the guys in my band shared a day room. Their one rule was nobody was allowed to do that thing in the shower.” Moore then hesitated before saying the word “masturbate,” until Meyers told her it’s okay.

The “Only Hope” singer continued to explain how that shower rule developed into a running joke. “It became this big joke, because one of my band members was like, ‘I don’t want babies on my feet.’ And so we created a song called ‘Babies on My Feet’ that we sang on stage every night. No one had any idea what we were talking about,” she said.

Moore said that she got the actual tattoo after the tour finished. Immediately after, she got a pedicure and she was told, “Honey, I’m trying to scrub this off and it looks like permanent marker.” She had to correct the woman, admitting that it’s a tattoo “and it’s not going anywhere.”

Meyers took Moore as a guest to promote the NBC series “This Is Me,” a dramedy that follows the lives and connections of several people who all share the same birthday. Moore is part of the “This Is Us” ensemble cast, which also include Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan and Ron Cephas Jones. The series aired its pilot episode on Sept. 20.
