Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC , reigning women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is determined to shame bitter rival Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino that she is planning to break her arm if ever their long awaited fight pushes through. Rousey’s mother, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars, revealed during a recent interview with Submission Radio that her daughter holds a deep grudge against the Brazilian foe that she will not hesitate to unleash the full wrath of her vicious arm bar submission.

"I think the first time Ronda gets her hands on her she's going to knock her down and break her arm. The reason she won't [go up in weight] apparently is because Cris Cyborg has missed weight multiple times, so if you have her fight at 140, she's going to show up at 145 or 150,” De Mars said during the interview embedded at the end of this story.

De Mars, who is a former judo practitioner herself, was the one who pushed her daughter to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. She is also behind her daughter a hundred per cent in not pursuing a catch weight at 140 lbs. The first American to emerge victorious at the World Judo Championship, the 56-year-old retired judoka added that should Rousey would agree to meet at 140 lbs, Justino should be willing to give up 10 per cent of the purse to the reigning champion. Aside from that, De Mars said that Justino’s recent fights against competitors who weighed at 125 lbs. is comparable to Rousey squaring off with her little sister.

Rousey and Justino have long been going back and forth with their taunting and repeated calls for a fight. Both fighters figured in title defences during the last week of February against separate foes for their respective promotional outfits, Invicta FC and the UFC. While Rousey has continuously slammed Justino for her history of performance enhancing drug use, she has not shut the door for a big event fight between the two undefeated fighters.

Both fighters have had stellar runs in the mixed martial arts world with Justino suffering a lone defeat during her debut fight against Erica Paes back in 2005 while Rousey has been unblemished with an 11-0 record in her professional career. Rousey latest conquest of Cat Zingano during UFC 184 solidifies her stature as the best woman fighter in the fighting scene. “Rowdy” set a record of fastest title defence in her 14-second arm bar submission win over Zingano.
