The third episode of “Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games series” has arrived. Titled “A Sword in the Darkness,” the new trailer was released to give fans of the game and the overall franchise a peek into what will happen in the upcoming episode. It seems like things are looking very grim for House Forrester.

A report from Polygon confirms that the game is currently available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users in North America. PlayStation fans in Europe will get the game on March 25, along with all Xbox One and Xbox 360 users worldwide. Those who play the game on their mobile devices will have to wait till March 26 for the game to hit iOS and Android devices.

Fans who have not played the previous episodes should tread carefully, as spoilers for what happens next in episode 3, “A Sword in the Darkness,” will be unavoidable. A recovering Lord Rodrik Forrester must fight back as the forces of House Whitehill has occupied their stronghold, the Ironrath. Still, Rodrik continues to fight valiantly against the opposing forces despite an injury.

In the meantime, Mira has to deal with the politics of the Lannisters as she attempts to escape their stronghold. Exiled son Asher is also going through his own issues, as he must make it out of Essos alive. Lastly, Gared Tuttle is considering leaving the Night’s Watch.

Also confirming the image released last week on IGN is the appearance of a dragon in this episode. It is reportedly Drogon, one of the dragons under the command of Daenerys Targaryen. It will be interesting to see if the woman who controls the dragons will be making an appearance in this episode, or if her involvement will be teased or if she will appear in episode 4.

This will be the third of six confirmed episodes for “Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series.” It is clear that developer Telltale Games is putting on all the stops to make “Game of Thrones” episode 3 as exciting as possible since this is the halfway point of the series. Considering that “Game of Thrones” Season 5 is set to come out this year, it looks to be a good time to be a fan of George R.R. Martin and his works.
