“Toy Story 4” will be released in 2018 with Tom Hanks reprising his role as Woody along with Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Joan Cusack as Jessie. "CSI: Cyber" star Patricia Arquette is also set to voice a new character in the animated comedy film sequel.

In a recent appearance in “The Graham Norton Show,” Hanks confirmed the release of “Toy Story 4.” He said he has started recording the voiceover for Woody, and he has a recording session on Dec. 2.

“It takes a long time,” Hanks said of recording “Toy Story 4,” in which he portrays a smart-talking sheriff. “We're working on it right now.”

Despite having years of experience lending his voice to Woody, Hanks said the task is still not easy because it is strenuous on his diaphragm. For him, it is a “very hard work” doing animated films like “Toy Story” considering that it takes four or five hours to do the recording sessions.

Also currently filming the 2016 biopic “Sully,” Hanks added that he is driving home and he has to put an ice pack on his chest because it is clenched throughout after recording for “Toy Story 4.” In “Sully,” he plays pilot Chesley Sullenberger, who is known for landing a problematic aircraft full of passengers on the Hudson River.

Directed by John Lasseter and Josh Cooley, “Toy Story 4” will also feature the voices of Annie Potts, Bonnie Hunt, Jodi Benson, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Lori Alan, Blake Clark, Bud Luckey and Jeff Pidgeon, among others. The details about Arquette’s role in the sequel have yet to be released.

Before “Toy Story 4,” Arquette will lend her voice to a character in the animated fantasy film “Troll,” which is set to be released on Nov. 23, 2016. She joined the cast of “CSI: Cyber” after winning first Academy Award for her role in “Boyhood,” in which she played a character informed by her own parenting experiences as a single mother when she was 20, she told Huff Post Live.
