Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man, recently spilled a bit of spoiler about his role in “Captain America: Civil War.” The actor talked about how Spider-Man’s identity will factor in with the conflict between the two teams of superheroes in the sequel.

According to Superhero Hype, Spider-Man may further complicate the conflict among the superheroes in “Captain America: Civil War” because of his identity. In a recent interview, Holland revealed that the web crawler’s true identity will basically still be kept a secret in the film.

“I think one of the most interesting things about Peter Parker for us is that he’s the only person in the MCU now that has a secret identity, so we all know who everyone else is. I think it’s quite interesting to go back to that hiding behind a mask,” he said.

More details regarding the actor’s appearance in the sequel still remain under wraps He was also not featured in the recent trailer released for “Captain America: Civil War.” It's still uncertain how much screen time Spider-Man gets and who among the other superheroes he will interact with in the film. It's believed Spider-Man has scenes with both Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans).

In an interview with IGN, Holland said that Spider-Man might team up with other characters in the MCU just like in the comic books. He also expressed his interest to work with other superhero casts in the universe.

The 19-year old will debut his Peter Parker role in “Captain America: Civil War” before he stars in his stand-alone “Spider-Man” film. According to Superhero Hype, Holland revealed filming for the still untitled “Spider-Man” movie will start sometime next year. The setting for the film will still be in New York much like in the previous films. However, production will reportedly mainly happen in Atlanta because of the available studios there, where it’s easier to build sets representing New York. Shooting in the city itself is believed to be more costly. But Holland added filming for the new “Spider-Man” movie will definitely also take place in New York for just about a couple of weeks.
