Last year, Korean superstar Psy revealed that Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is his first choice when it comes to performing his hit "Gangnam Style" dance moves. Unlike Australian actor Hugh Jackman, the "Mission: Impossible" star refused to show his "Gangnam Style" dancing skills despite Psy's request.

"He does it better than me," the 50-year-old actor said to reporters in a press conference. Tom Cruise arrived in Seoul, Korea to promote his latest film "Jack Reacher" which will open in Korean cinemas on January 17.

Though Tom Cruise turned down the offer, he described Psy as someone who is quite a sensation. "I'm very happy for his success. Everyone has really enjoyed it," Cruise further stated.

Singer/rapper Psy successfully made internet history when his "Gangnam Style" music video gathered more than one billion views on YouTube in 2012. Tom Cruise was among the numerous worldwide celebrities who promoted the video on the social networking site "Twitter."

The South Korean city of Busan will give an honorary citizenship award to Tom Cruise for his remarkable contribution to the movie industry. Busan Mayor and Busan Film Festival chairman Hur Nam-sik will present the special citizenship certificates to Tom Cruise as well as film director Christopher McQuarrie and lead actress Rosamund Pike at the red carpet movie premiere of "Jack Reacher."

"The visit of a top star and director will contribute to promoting Busan's important status in Asia for cinema. The city has decided to award the honorary citizenship to Mr. Cruise in recognition to his contribution to the industry," said an unnamed city official.

Also, Tom Cruise made the request to meet up with his Korean fans outside of Seoul who affectionately named him as "friendly Uncle Tom." Therefore, the city of Busan decided to officially host the movie premiere. The event marks Tom Cruise's sixth visit to Seoul and his first to the city of Busan.
