Marvel characters Thor and Doctor Strange are likely meeting on the “Thor: Ragnarok” movie as Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth was spotted filming a scene wherein he holds the New York City address of Benedict Cumberbatch's fictional character.

During the filming that commenced Monday in Brisbane, Hemsworth was filmed looking intently at a small card that bears 177a Bleeker Street, New York City, which is the known address of Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange. Hemsworth plays the role of the hammer-wielding Marvel character while British actor Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Doctor Strange.

A photo showing Hemsworth holding Doctor Strange’s address card has gone viral on social media after it suggests a meeting of the two Marvel Studios characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But Hemsworth, despite his social media activities, did not offer any clarification to fans. Instead, he took to Twitter his appreciation for the Queensland government and Brisbane residents for allowing road closures in Brisbane throughout the filming schedule.

"Thank you Brisbane for letting us disrupt the traffic for our little film #ThorRagnarok in your beautiful city!" Hemsworth captioned the photo he posted on Twitter.

The ongoing filming of the third installment on the Thor movie franchise has caused road closures across the Brisbane central business district. Closed to traffic until Thursday are Mary, Albert and Margaret streets.

Filming of the movie started at the Village Roadshow Studios at the Gold Coast last month. Brisbane doubles up as the New York City settling of the ongoing shoot. “Thor: Ragnarok” is due for a November 2017 release in the United States.

Meanwhile, “Doctor Strange” is set for release on Nov. 4 in the US and on Oct. 27 in Australia. (Click here for the detailed story)
