Pop star Ariana Grande's new music video “One Last Time” is in trouble. Australian music group SAFIA says that Ariana's music video director Max Landis lifted the concept of “One Last Time” from their “You Are The One” music video. Both music videos can be seen below and they do have some conceptual similarities.

"One Last Time" by Ariana premiered on You Tube on Feb. 15 and is directed by Max Landis. The music video opens with a voice of few news headlines after which Ariana is seen arguing with an unknown man. The singer then roams around in streets where people are panicking and getting restless. The backdrop shows meteors falling from a purple-tinged sky. The music video ends with Ariana getting “one last kiss” from the man she argued with earlier. The planet gets destroyed thereafter.

The indie/electronica group from Canberra posted a screenshot on their Facebook page which shows the scene with purple sky and meteors in both of the videos. “YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE SAF! IT'S ONNNNN!,” wrote the members of SAFIA along with the picture. SAFIA's music video "You Are The One" is directed by Jimmy Ennett and was released on You Tube in September 2014.

"You Are The One" opens in a similar way like Ariana's music video. A young woman is seen arguing with a man in a car after which she get out and runs through crowded streets. The backdrop shows the meteor drops falling down from purple skies. As the music video reaches its climax, the couple kiss each other. The planet gets destroyed in the climax. On their Facebook page, the band said Ariana had “stolen and copied some bits” of their music video, “especially the end.”

The band also labelled team Ariana as “uncreative talentless f-cks from big labels” who copy concepts from “small independent creatives” like them. But on Feb. 18, SAFIA posted a relatively toned-down message for their fans where they thanked them for their support and also said that they cannot prove whether Ariana’s clip was influenced by “You Are The One” or was it just a coincidence. Landis also tweeted about the similarity and said it was just a “co-incidence” that “One Last Time” is similar to SAFIA's “You Are The One.”
