Taylor Swift unable to attend ‘Star Wars’ premiere with brother Austin Swift
“Bad Blood” singer Taylor Swift, 26, was recently in Australia for “The 1989 World Tour.” She was not able to attend the world premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in Hollywood with her brother Austin Swift, 23.
Held on Dec. 14, Monday, in Los Angeles, California, the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiere was attended by several celebrities who are not part of the cast. One of them is Austin, who is set to star in the 2016 film “I.T.”
During the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiere, Austin wore a blue Gucci suit. It was the first time for him to be seen on the red carpet without his sister Taylor, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Austin is also set to make his acting debut in “I.T.,” which is directed by John Moore. Among his co-stars are Pierce Brosnan, Anna Friel, Stefanie Scott, Michael Nyqvist, James Frecheville, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Jason Barry, Adam Fergus, David McSavage, Melissa Veszi, Bruce Johnson, Steve Hartland and BF Mulvey.
On the other hand, the last film Taylor starred in was “The Giver,” which also starred Brenton Thwaites, Alexander Skarsgard, Katie Holmes, Odeya Rush, Cameron Monaghan, Emma Tremblay, Alexander Jillings and Academy Award winners Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges, among others. Directed by Phillip Noyce, the sci-fi drama film was released on Aug. 15, 2014.
One day before the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” premiere, the “Bad Blood” singer celebrated her 26th birthday with her parents Scott Swift and Andrea Swift along with her boyfriend Calvin Harris, 31. They had a quiet lunch together at a private Beverly Hills residence, according to Perez Hilton.
Meanwhile, there are still no details about Taylor’s sixth studio album. Released on Oct. 27, 2014, her fifth studio album titled “1989,” which was named after her birth year, included the hit songs “Bad Blood,” “Blank Space,” “Style” and “Shake It Off,” among others.
