"Supernatural" Season 9 returns with Episode 10 titled "Road Trip" that has a mournful tone over the death of Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) in the mid-season finale. Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), who was obviously hurt, guilty, affected and angry with what happened, decides to set things right by going after the treacherous angel in Sam's (Jared Padalecki) body.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "Supernatural" Season 9, Episode 10 "Road Trip." Dean Winchester confided his dilemma to Castiel (Misha Collins) and the human-turned-angel-again told Dean that even though his actions were stupid, they were for the right reasons.

As Gadreel goes on a killing spree in Sam's body to prove to Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) that he is worthy to be his second-in-command, Dean makes a deal with the demon Crowley (Mark Sheppard) to save his brother's life. The King of Hell agrees to help in casting the angel out in exchange for his freedom.

The hunter, angel and demon managed to track down possessed Sam's whereabouts and captured him to execute their plan. Crowley's method of trying to reach Sam revealed the angel's identity making Castiel lose it when he discovered it is Gadreel, the imprisoned guardian of the Garden of Eden.

Gadreel threatened that he can rip Sam's body apart if the trio continues with their plan of casting him out. Castiel could not possess Sam's body to cast Gadreel out since the vessel has to say yes first so Crowley offered another method: he will possess Sam's body, find Sam and make him eject the angel.

The plan became successful and the angel Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett) returned to his original vessel but Sam had to learn about Dean's secret through Crowley as the demon made him remember what has happened. The Winchester brothers have calmly talked about what happened, no tussle involved, but Sam admitted that he is pissed at Dean for tricking him.

With the truth out in the open, Dean takes full responsibility for Kevin's death, describes himself as poison and tells Sam that he will still hunt Gadreel but he will do it alone. Meanwhile, Crowley faced his rival Abaddon (Alaina Huffman) and started the campaign to win back Hell from her rule.

For the upcoming Episode 11 titled "First Born," a promo video has been released giving fans a preview of Dean and Crowley working together as well as the introduction of Cain (Timothy Omundson) in the next episode. Dean, who owes Crowley a favor for saving Sam's life, embarks on another journey with the demon to help him find "The First Blade," a weapon that can kill Abaddon so Crowley can reclaim his throne in Hell.
