Jensen Ackles recently shared on Facebook what he discovered while filming “Supernatural” Season 11. Ackles, who portrays “Supernatural” character Dean Winchester, recounted on social media his experience of reuniting with the original Impala that was used in the pilot season of the CW TV series.

On Ackles’ official Facebook page, the 37-year-old actor shared that he noticed an old hollowed out car in the background while working on “Supernatural” Season 11. “I wandered over and there she was. 10 years later. The ORIGINAL Impala from season 1,” Ackles posted.

The Impala, or also known as “Baby,” got destroyed after a truck hit the car in the finale of “Supernatural” Season 1. “That's right, we still have her. I had no idea,” Ackles further added on his Facebook post.

Ackles admitted that it has been over a decade since he last saw the original Impala. “I guess you're never really dead on this show. ‪#‎Nostalgia#‎Baby,” Ackles’ FB post reads. Click here to see photos.

“Supernatural” executive producer Jeremy Carver confirmed in an interview with TVLine at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) that the new season will have an episode titled “Baby” filmed entirely in the Impala. “It’s going to touch on, ‘What happens in the moment when they agree to take a case and normally you cut to whatever and they’re walking in? What if you stayed in the Impala for another five minutes? What do they talk about then?'” Carver shared.

In the “Supernatural” Season 10 finale, the Winchester brothers hid inside the Impala after the Darkness got released. The new season’s premiere episode will pick up where the previous season’s finale left off.

Ackles explained that Sam and Dean Winchester will be figuring out what the Darkness is and how to fix the show’s new, pre-biblical big bad villain. The premiere episode, which is scheduled to air on Wednesday night, Oct. 7, is also expected to reveal the fate of “Supernatural” characters Castiel, played by Misha Collins, and Crowley, played by Mark Sheppard, after Rowena, played by Ruth Connell, placed the “Attack Dog Spell” on Castiel and then ordered the angel to go after the King of Hell.
