The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A3 with model number SM-A300 has cleared the FCC-equivalent TENAA certification, thereby offering a good glimpse of the smartphone's sketches and specifications.

Very recently, we reported that the Galaxy A5 with model number SM-A500 has cleared TENAA and it is dubbed as the wallet-friendly version of the Galaxy Alpha. And now, the Galaxy A3 has become official. Apparently, the images of the Galaxy A3 were revealed by Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center in China. Based on the leaked images, the Galaxy A3 is identical to the Galaxy A5, barring the size difference. Meaning, the Galaxy A3 is relatively smaller than the Galaxy A5 with a 4.5-inch AMOLED display along with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, comes with a 5.0-inch AMOLED display with 720p resolution, according to Phone Arena.

Speaking of key specifications, the Galaxy A3 is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) 64-bit processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and runs on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS, which will reportedly get updated to Android L (v5.0) upon release. The phone is 6.9 mm thick and it weighs 112 g. When it comes to camera, the device sports an 8 MP rear-facing unit with LED flash, in addition to a surprisingly good 5 MP shooter at the front. Also, the primary camera has the capability to record full HD videos. The Galaxy A3 is backed by a 1 GB of RAM and it comes equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity with microSD card support.

Furthermore, the Galaxy A series of smartphones from Samsung boasts the much-loved metallic look seen in the Galaxy Alpha. As far as the pricing detail goes, the Samsung Galaxy A3 will cost roughly around and Samsung could be unveiling all three devices namely Galaxy A3, A5 and the bigger handset out of the rest A7 in the coming weeks or months.

With the fact that Samsung has released a slew of devices thus far, what do you think of the upcoming Galaxy A3, A5 and A7? Is Samsung desperate or is this the right move? Feel free to leave a comment.
