The revered former Apple CEO and chairman Steve Jobs was ranked 109th on Forbes' list of the world's billionaires, with a net worth of about $8.3 billion as of June 2011.

Steve is survived by friends and family, including a sister, Patti Jobs; his wife Laurene Powell-Jobs and his three children with her: daughters Eve Jobs, Erin Sienna Jobs and a son, Reed. He has another daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, from a relationship with Chrisann Brennan.

His fortune is attributed to his hard work when he founded Apple Computing with Steve Wozniak, Mike Markkula, and others in the late 1970s, is responsible directly and indirectly for the iPhone, the iPad, Mac computers and a number of other innovations that have revolutionized the way people work, play, and interact.

Steve jobs also registered 338 US patents or patent applications ranging from ranging from computer and portable devices to user interfaces, speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages.

Jobs has also been instrumental to the success of the animation studio Pixar, which produced high class animated films such as 'Toy Story,' 'Finding Nemo,' and 'Cars'.

Steve Jobs died at the age of 56 after battling a rare type of pancreatic cancer and other health issues.
