Stephen Amell is known by many as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in The CW’s “Arrow.” Today, he celebrates his 36th birthday, and naturally, family, friends and fans alike are celebrating the occasion with the Canadian actor. Social media has been in a frenzy, what with us fans showing our appreciation for the real-life Green Arrow on his special day. Even some of Amell’s co-stars, such as Madison McLaughlin (a.k.a. Evelyn Sharp) and David Ramsey (a.k.a. John Diggle), sent Amell their love today with greetings on Twitter.

Being an avid professional wrestling fan has its perks, especially if you’re Stephen Amell, as the WWE Network also sent the actor their greetings with a throwback to his match against Stardust and King Barrett back in 2015. But, out of all the birthday greetings as of late, it’s the one from the Toronto Blue Jays that has received recognition from Amell himself so far.

“Happy birthday, Stephen!” reads the team’s birthday greeting on Twitter. “Thanks for supporting the [Blue Jays] when you’re not too busy protecting Star City!”

Other “Arrow” stars also acknowledged Amell’s special day with heartfelt greetings on social media, including Amy Gumenick (Carrie Cutter/Cupid), who even posted footage of Amell’s birthday party today on Instagram. Seeing all these interactions amongst the “Arrow” cast is pretty much a fan’s dream come true, so it almost feels like our own birthday today as much as it is Amell’s.

While he has become the face of our current generation’s iteration of Green Arrow, Amell is also known for other roles outside of the Arrowverse. Some fans may know him as Casey Jones from 2016’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,” while others may recognise him as the paramedic Scottie on ABC’s “Private Practice,” which Amell had a recurring role in. Amell is also an alumni of “The Vampire Diaries,” having portrayed the werewolf named Brady in season 2. His “The Vampire Diaries” family has not forgotten him either, as they too sent their birthday wishes to the actor on social media. One such greeting came from Carina MacKenzie, a writer for the “The Vampire Diaries” spinoff, “The Originals.” She shared an oddball photo of herself with Amell, showcasing that despite his serious role as Green Arrow, the actor is always down for some fun and quirkiness in between takes.

We wish you the happiest of birthdays today, Stephen Amell! No one pulls off being the Green Arrow quite like you do.
