The episode “Twin Suns” of “Star Wars Rebels” had a shocking reveal for the fans. In a recent interview, executive producer Dave Filoni shared some details about the show and teased how the current events in the TV series will have an impact on Ezra Bridger in season 4. The following article contains spoilers.

Maul (voiced by Sam Witwer) was killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi (voiced by James Arnold Taylor) on Tatooine in episode 9 of the animation series. This is the same planet on which the character first revealed himself to the Jedi in the prequel trilogy. The episode also teased a young Luke Skywalker.

While Ezra Bridger (voiced by Taylor Gray) did not learn the secret to destroy the Sith, his interaction with Obi-Wan taught him that his place is with his new family, the Rebels. However, the events that he has been a part of in “Star Wars Rebels” season 3, including the one on Tatooine, will have an impact on him.

In an interview via Gizmodo, Filoni promised that season 4 will answer the question of how the recent events will have an impact of Ezra and how he will be a changed man. The producer pointed out that a lot of the stories in season 3 were about the quest for power, building allies, and “true family.” In the next season, Ezra will have a “much greater sense of who he is,” the producer teased.

Filoni explained that the Sith and the Jedi view power differently. While one seeks power in the literal sense, the other looks to selflessness and sacrifice in order to help others. Ezra, who has been tempted by the Dark side, will now take “a bigger step” into the Jedi way, the producer revealed.

There is just one more episode left in the current season. This will be an hour-long finale, which promises a massive face-off between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

Episode 20 of the animation series is titled “Zero Hour.” The plot will focus on Grand Admiral Thrawn’s (voiced by Lars Mikkelsen) strategy that he has been carefully crafting for a long time now. He has already discovered the true identity of the spy among them and plans to use Agent Kallus (voiced by David Oyelowo).

All the popular characters will come together in “Star Wars Rebels” season 3. With the Rebellion in desperate need for help, even Sabine Wren (voiced by Tiya Sircar) will be back.
