New details about the yet to be released teaser trailer of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” have surfaced online. The video will reportedly include scenes of Rey, Luke Skywalker and Poe Dameron. It is expected to be released during the Celebrations event next month. The following article contains minor spoilers.

A teaser of the film was shown during the shareholders meeting of Disney. Reporter Daniel Miller was one of the lucky few who got to see the footage. He revealed that one of the scenes includes Rey (Daisy Ridley) handing the lightsaber she brought to Ahch-To to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). This may have been included to emphasise the fact that there is no time gap between movies this year.

A dialogue featured in the video is Luke asking Rey “Who are you?” This sentence goes against the theory that many fans had about the old Jedi being the father of the girl from Jakku.

Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) also appeared in this video, according to Miller. However, since this is only a teaser, the character appeared very briefly.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is a scene that showed Rey “under duress.” She is said to be surrounded by small orbs of light that hang in the air.

Fans of the franchise who have seen the animation series “Clone Wars” will remember the small orbs of light appeared at the time when Yoda’s Force Ghost came in to offer guidance. The character has also made an appearance in the “Star Wars Rebels” series. So, it is possible the trailer was teasing the return of a dead Jedi character.

More details about the trailer that will soon be shown to the fans have been posted on Star Wars News Net. According to the report, the teaser will show a large city, a shot of what could be an important procession, and a new design of what could be an X-Wing ship. The ship is said to be travelling at high speed over a blue planet.

The source further clarified that the procession is actually a funeral of some kind, with the extras all dressed in black. The funeral is followed by an “important dinner.”

Will there be a Han Solo (Harrison Ford) funeral in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”? Apart from the teaser trailer, the fans may learn more about the film during the panel discussion at the Celebrations event.
