A preview video of “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 11 has been released online. The fans will get to see the animated version of “Rogue One” character Saw Gerrera in the next episode. The character is younger, and a little different than the one seen in the film.

[Spoiler alert]

A video (see below) posted on the official YouTube channel of the franchise shows some scenes from the next episode of the popular animation series. Rex (Voice by Dee Bradley Baker), Ezra (Voice by Taylor Gray) and Kanan (Voice by Freddie Prinze Jr.) will run into Saw Gerrera (Voice by Forest Whitaker).

In many ways Saw Gerrera was the original Rebel. He fought in the Clone Wars, first against the separatists and later against the Republic when it became the Empire. Over the years the character has been through a lot, both physically and mentally.

In “Star Wars rebels” season 3 episode 11, Saw Gerrera will jump in to help the young Rebels and the former Clone Trooper. He appears to have his limbs intact with no robotic legs. Creative Executive at the Lucasfilm Story Group – Rayne Roberts said that the character is someone who doesn’t believe in playing nice all the time.

Saw Gerrera is amongst the first to come to the conclusion that the time for talking is over, and that the Empire is preparing to wipe them all out, and are developing the means to do it. Executive Producer/ Supervising Director Dave Filoni revealed that the character doesn’t know the name of the weapon, but he will be talking about the Death Star in the next episode.

Rex already knows Saw Gerrera, so he will be the one to make the introductions in “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 11. The veteran rebel is a little frustrated because he has been warning people to take action against the Empire before it is too late, but no one listened to him. He will now meet a team which is just as passionate about the cause as he is.
