Details about Kylo Ren’s TIE fighter in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” have surfaced online, along with a picture that gives the fans an idea about what to expect. The plot leaks of the movie suggest that some elements of the sequel are inspired by the original trilogy. The following article contains spoilers.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will be getting a custom built TIE fighter in the sequel. A picture of a Hot Wheels toy posted on Making Star Wars gives the fans a glimpse of the unique ship design. The report notes that the new ship appears to be a modified Interceptor.

Fans of the franchise who have watched the original trilogy will remember that Darth Vader had used a modified TIE fighter in the final battle in “A New Hope.” The ship was an advanced version of the ships used by the Empire at that time. Kylo Ren appears to be inspired by his grandfather in this aspect too, and has his own advanced ship in the upcoming film.

Sharing some details about the plot of the film that deals specifically with Driver’s character, the report reveals that the character is at a disadvantage at the beginning of the film. Kylo Ren has lost some prestige in the eyes of Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), after failing to stop Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Another post by Making Star Wars, reveals that Supreme Leader Snoke stays in a huge ship, which the report calls the Mega Destroyer and this is said to be the biggest ship in the franchise, not considering the Death Star.

So, while the first movie in the new trilogy featured a planet sized Death Star, the sequel will have a massive ship that is reminiscent of Darth Vader’s ship in “Empire Strikes Back.” Add to this the custom ship of Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” the new movies appear to be heavily inspired by the original trilogy.
