A new theory about “Star Wars: Episode 8” looks at what Supreme Leader Snoke will do next. The character already said what he is interested in doing next in “The Force Awakens” and also showed keen interest in Rey.

[Spoiler alert]

After Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) “proved” his loyalty by killing his father, Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) decided that it was time to complete his training. But, a new video by Mike Zeroh looks at the part in which the leader of First Order was interested in Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Snoke showed interest in Rey and asked Kylo Ren to bring her before him, after the latter praised her Force powers. Mike believes that the villain’s interest in Rey may be more than his interest in Driver’s character at this point.

The training of Kylo Ren will continue in the sequel, according to Mike, but the character will be trained just enough to be able to beat Rey and kidnap her. Snoke may give specific instructions not to harm the girl in “Star Wars: Episode 8,” and bring her before him. She may be injured, but it can’t be fatal.

So there could be a kidnapping of Rey in the film, and she may face Snoke. The scene may be reminiscent of how the Emperor wanted to take Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) as his new apprentice, and wanted the son to take his father’s place by his side.

Mike, believes that even though the scenes will be similar, Rian Johnson may have done it in a different, “more poetic” way. The novelization of “The Force Awakens” revealed how a voice in Rey’s head asked her to kill her opponent in her duel against Kylo Ren. Mike believes this to be Snoke.

Will Snoke betray Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: Episode 8” and have Rey kill him, just like Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) betrayed Dooku (Christopher Lee)? Fans will have to wait till December to find out.
