Rey will get injured in “Star Wars: Episode 8” and there could also be some romance for the character, Daisy Ridley teased in a recent interview. A previous leak had revealed that the character will suffer a big injury and the actress appears to have just confirmed it.

[Spoiler alert]

In a new video, Mike Zeroh has a portion of Ridley’s (Rey) interview with “My Dad Wrote a Porno” podcast. During the interview she was asked whether her character will suffer any injury in the next film. The actress asked if the injury can be physical or emotional. It was a yes or no question so the interviewers chose not to elaborate on the question. The actress then confirmed that her character will be injured.

Mike points out that he had previously made a video after getting some information from an inside source. Ridley had apparently filmed a scene with a green sleeve on. This indicates that Rey will lose her arm in “Star Wars: Episode 8,” just like Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and Luke (Mark Hamill).

Apart from the injury, Ridley also teased that there could be some romance involved in the next film. She replied to this particular question with a “maybe.” She explained that she had read an article about being in love with friends and how that is the “ultimate thing.” She added that romance “covers a lot of bases.”

In another video, Mike revealed that the opening scene of the movie will be 10 minutes long. The scene will be on Ahch-To, the planet on which Luke was found in “The Force Awakens.”

There won’t be any time gap between “The Force Awakens” and “Star Wars: Episode 8.” So the story will pick up from right where it was left off in the J.J. Abrams’ film.
