Mark Hamill has teased that he has filmed a major special effects scene for “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Filming of the movie has already wrapped, and it is currently in the post production phase.

[Spoiler alert]

Hamill was at the Salt Lake City Comic-Con. During the event he was talking about watching “Batman: The Killing Joke” for the first time, Comic Book reports. The actor has lent his voice to The Joker in this movie. He was on the set of Rian Johnson’s film when he got a copy of the movie.

There was an interview scheduled for Hamill the next day, so he was supposed to watch “Batman: The Killing Joke.” However, he had to prepare to do night shoots for Johnson’s movie, which was on the day after the interview, so he didn’t have time to do anything else.

The actor teased that he had to film an “elaborate special effects sequence” for “Star Wars: Episode 8” on that day. The actor did not reveal any details about what that scene was about. He said that he is afraid to say or do anything because any hints about the movie leads to a lot of speculation among the huge and passionate fan base. The actor is contractually obligated not to talk about the film.

Just as the actor had predicted; speculation about the special effects scene shot during the night has started. The report suggests that the scene could be about Luke getting back into an X-Wing as a pilot.

The scene may not be something original and may just be something simple, the report points out. However, if Luke is back as an X-Wing pilot in “Star Wars: Episode 8” and involved in a daring rescue operation or battle sequence; the scene is sure to be a nostalgic moment for fans who have watched the original trilogy.
