There will be another “I’m your father” moment in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The dialogue previously featured in “The Empire Strikes” back in the original trilogy, and is considered to be the biggest shocking moment in the history of the franchise.

[Spoiler alert]

Many of the rumours about the next movie point to a shocking moment about Rey (Daisy Ridley) with theories pointing to her background, parents and her connection to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). However, a script “leak” posted on the YouTube channel of Star Wars Theory points to a different shocking moment.

The scene begins with Luke walking down a narrow corridor. He senses the presence of someone who is very powerful in the Dark side of the Force. Someone who is just as strong as the late Emperor. Luke wonders if the Sith Lord survived, but quickly puts the thought out of his mind.

Behind the door it is Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). The Sith Lord will reportedly kidnap Rey in “Star Wars: Episode 8” and use her as bait to lure Luke. The main purpose of this is to reveal details about Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen).

Luke was told that his father was born through the Force. However, Supreme Leader Snoke says that it was he who created Anakin. The character says that he has been around for so long that he has seen the rise and fall of the Emperor.

Supreme Leader Snoke also suggests that the First Order was made possible thanks to the efforts of Darth Vader. He remarks that Luke is not powerful enough to kill him, when the Jedi reaches for his lightsaber.

The scene from “Star Wars: Episode 8” ends with the revelation about Supreme Leader Snoke being the father/creator of Anakin. Whether or not the “leak” is accurate will only be known when the movie is released.
