Cast member Mark Hamill apparently got permission from “Star Wars: Episode 8” director Rian Johnson to “leak” some details about the movie. The actor is expected to tease the details soon online, but in the meantime he has shared a picture from the set.

Hamill (Luke Skywalker) shared a picture of the front page of the script of the movie and said that he would reveal a “stunning plot point” about “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The actor advised his Twitter followers to tell their friends about what he was going to do. The stunt was apparently planned in order to get a million followers.

A few hours later the actor confessed that it was all a joke and he was only trying to celebrate April’s Fools Day. Hamill said that he was not able to fool anyone through the prank, as the fans know that the producers would not allow any leaks about the plot so early into production.

The actor later wrote on Twitter that the prank was only played to get the fans jazzed up and if anyone was mad or disappointed, then he failed “big time.” Hamill said that he doesn’t like spoilers to the extent that he doesn’t even like trailers that give too much away about the movie.

Hamill said that he doesn’t really care about having a million followers and appreciates the fans, be it a million or just a hundred. The actor currently is very close to the million followers mark and is just a few thousand away.

While Hamill did not revealed any plot details about “Star Wars:Episode 8,” the considerate director teased a picture from the set. Johnson posted a picture on his Twitter page and jokingly asked the fans to guess if it was picture of a droid or set equipment.
