With its November release date getting closer every day, DICE and publisher, EA have been working overtime on “Star Wars Battlefront” marketing, divulging details about gameplay, the partner system and more. This week, the developer has shed a little light on how flight and vehicle handling works and promised that actual gameplay footage is coming soon.

Taking to Reddit, DICE Community Manager Mathew Everett spilled the beans on a few of the vehicles gamers would be able to pilot in “Battlefront.” While it’s previously been announced that players would be able to take control of AT-ST’s, Everett confirmed that land-based vehicles included Snow Speeders, Speeder Bikes and more. With regard to ships, he said that Han Solo’s iconic starship, the Millennium Falcon would be playable.

As noted by DualShockers, some fans were concerned about how difficult the ships might be to pilot, especially considering how hard it can be to manage flying vehicles in DICE’s “Battlefield” series. Allaying fears, Everett said that the ships would be easy to control, but difficult to master.

“[Ships will be] a lot easier to fly, very Padawan friendly. We will go into more details on what makes them Padawan friendly and Jedi master-able,” he said.

Everett also provided an update on when gamers would get to see actual gameplay footage of “Battlefront,” stating that while there’s no specific date he could give, more media would be available in the near future. “Star Wars Battlefront” stunned fans when the very first footage was released during the “Star Wars Celebration 2015,” drawing scepticism from some quarters about whether what was on display is actually representative of real time gameplay.

DICE has gone on record stating that the footage shown was captured from a PS4, adding that while the trailer was carefully choreographed, with bespoke animations added to provide a more cinematic look, the footage was representative of what gamers will get to play. Speaking shortly after the reveal, GameSpot, who managed to get eyes-on time with “Battlefront,” stated that while the game looks gorgeous, it doesn’t quite match the dizzy heights of the reveal trailer.

“Star Wars Battlefront” is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 17. While the game does not directly tie in with any of the previous movies, gamers will be able to re-live iconic moments from the original trilogy, and wage battle across many of the planets from the “Star Wars” universe.
