It looks like “Assassin’s Creed” has been making the rounds again lately, after a good amount of the series iterations were set in Italy, other game have decided to embrace other settings and timelines. “Assassin’s Creed 3” was set in the early days of America and the first game in the “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles” series was set in China. Now, the next game, “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” will be set in London.

The game is set during the Industrial Revolution of London and will apparently star an Assassin named Jacob Frye, as stated by Polygon, who received the information early. The setting of London will apparently be massive and should be seen, which fans of the game will get the chance to, later this week.

Ubisoft released a teaser trailer last week on their official website, stating that a new “Assassin’s Creed” game would be revealed on May 12. The game will be revealed at the UK time of 5pm, while the US version of the site continued to tease the game, with an image of brass knuckles, with phrases like “God Save the Queen” in the background.

Before the news was broken, the plans for the game to be set in London were heavily rumoured by gaming website Kotaku. The site originally stated that the game would be called “Assassin’s Creed: Victory,” though the other revelations of the game have proven the article to be mostly accurate.

While not much is known about the upcoming title until the big reveal later this week, it looks to be a return to the original single-player focused gameplay that the series was known for. Though not a failure, the multiplayer-centric “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” was a disappointment to many who played it, due to the game’s smaller environments and the many bugs that plagued it during its launch date.

“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” is slated for a 2015 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, with more information coming from Ubisoft later this week on May 12. Fans can only hope that the game won’t be plagued by the rushed nature of “Assassin’s Creed Unity.”
