“Star Wars Battlefront” fans who are looking for a huge and jam-packed battle will find the fight that they’re looking for in the latest multiplayer mode detailed by EA and DICE. Dubbed as Supremacy mode, its main thrust is to always put the player at the heart of the action.

“Supremacy is a game mode that will excite fans of the Conquest mode from ‘Battlefield.’ That said, we’ve made several tweaks to improve the formula,” said Dennis Brannvall, lead level designer for “Star Wars Battlefront.”

This is done by making the players spawn closer to fights and having the objective of taking over the most number of the five control points in the map. It is an intense mode precisely because the team already has two under its control at the start of the game, with the goal of taking control of the central and fifth control point.

The Supremacy mode for either an attacking or a defending type of player. For those who prefer to play up the defense, players will be on their toes as enemies come wave after wave after the control point. Going on the offense is just as central to the action, as they will be charged with manning the frontline to assure the safety of the base, EA revealed via the official "Star Wars Battlefront" website.

Vehicles will also play a role in the Supremacy mode, so players can expect TIE fighters and X-wings to be in on the fight alongside both heroes and villains. The sheer size of the map alone is not what makes Supremacy massive, but rather how even the likes of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader can turn the tide when it comes to defending your base and attacking the enemy’s.

It appears that “Star Wars Battlefront” was really made for an all-out fight online rather than enjoyed as a single-player experience alone. At least this is what EA and DICE have managed to decide on when creating the game.

Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore shared their thoughts and decisions on “Star Wars Battlefront” and other EA titles in an exclusive with GameSpot. And during the discussion, Moore stated that, based on the data that EA has gathered over the years of developing games, what they found was that people rarely play the single-player campaign for AAA games.

“You make a decision, years out, and you plan for what the world looks like when a game ships in two or three years,” said Moore to GameSpot.

As far as how “Star Wars Battlefront” was developed, it appears that the company is far from regretting the decision of making it a purely online experience. So far, EA has been vigilant in rolling out sneak peeks and new details of what will be available for multiplayer mode, and fans have been receptive about what has been revealed so far.

“Star Wars Battlefront” will be launched on Nov. 17. It will arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
