Filming for "Star Wars: Episode VII" has finally wrapped up. As a symbol of gratitude, the cast and crew were given thank you notes from J.J. Abrams and movie producers. This note reportedly hinted confirmation that Endor scenes will ultimately be featured in the movie.

Back in July, Daily Mail reported filming equipment were left over at the location. It started speculations that the cast and crew were at the Puzzlewood location in Gloucestershire to film "Star Wars: Episode VII." The site even posted some photos of the said filming materials.

Additionally, The International Business Times once claimed that the Forest of Dean filming location of "Star Wars: Episode VII" will be used to represent the planet Endor. However, at that time no confirmation was given regarding the said location, not until recently when the thank you note given to the cast and crew revealed filming did indeed take place at the Forest of Dean. "From the deserts of Abu Dhabi, to the Forest of Dean, to the stages of Pinewood, you have risen to every challenge and been as wonderfully kind as you are brilliantly talented," reads the statement from the thank you note, according to Cinemablend.

So what can "Star Wars" fans expect to see from the Forest of Dean filming? The location is believed to represent the Ewok's planet of Endor. According to Cinemablend, it could even stand in for Yoda's refuge.

The IBTimes once reported a "woodland battle" was filmed at the forest. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Pip Andersen and Adam Driver supposedly participated in the shoot. The battle scene was reportedly filmed for an entire week. Even Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's stunt doubles were said to be on the set, doing "quite a lot of workout." Pip Anderson's parkour skills were supposedly also utilised in the battle scene in "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Additionally, "Star Wars: Episode VII" will reportedly see Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker returning to Endor. The lush greenery of the Forest of Dean location is said to be a good representation of the planet. According to Cinemablend, the forest was once used as backdrop for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and the enchanted woodlands in "Lord of the Rings."
