The St. Louis Rams handed the Seattle Seahawks it second straight loss with a 28-26 victory on Sunday in the National Football League (NFL) Week 7 action.

The surprise started in a Rams' trick play in a fake punt return where Stedman Bailey returned it for 90 yards and a touchdown. Austin Davis had two touchdowns for 18-of-21 completions and 152 yards to help St. Louis snap a three-game losing streak. The Seahawks will now avoid a three-game skid of their own when they visit the Carolina Panthers in their next game.

Two of Davis' TD passes were caught by Benny Cunningham and Lance Kendricks even as Tre Mason added a rushing TD which gave the Rams the early 7-3 lead. The well-executed fake punt that led to a TD helped the Rams build a 21-6 lead at halftime.

But Seattle did not go away as Seahawks battled back behind Russell Wilson (313 yards, 2 TD) and Doug Baldwin (123 yards, 7 receptions) cutting the lead down to two, 21-19 at the end of the third quarter.

After an 8-play, 80 yards that led to a Rams touchdown, the Seahawks cut the lead again to 28-26 but failed on their comeback bid. The Rams face the Kansas City Chiefs in their next game.
