The St. George Banking Group has named current RAMS head of franchise Clive Kirkpatrick as its new general manager of broking across St. George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA brands.

In August, Westpac's Melos Sulucich was appointed as general manager of third party distribution across the multi-brand St. George Group, in addition to his duties as RAMS CEO.

Kirkpatrick follows Sulicich out of his role as RAMS head of franchise, which he has held since 2009. Prior to this position, Kirkpatrick was head of the RAMS broker channel.

Sulicich said the St. George Group's mortgage broking business was integral to its success, and that it would continue to invest in improving its products, services and broker relationships.

"Clive's extensive experience in the financial services industry and intimate knowledge of
intermediary channels will bring tremendous opportunities for the St.George business," he said.

Kirkpatrick, to start later this month, has previously worked in Bankwest's retail division, and headed up the financial services and third party distribution at Clearview Retirement Solutions.

He has also held senior roles at Westpac, including national manager of alternative distribution and sales.
