Sony has unveiled three new smartphones on Sept. 2, namely, the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Premium. The release dates and pricing details of the three handsets have been revealed for various markets such as the US and the UK.

According to Sony UK, the SIM free versions of the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Premium will be costing £549 (AUD $1197), £599 (AUD $1306) and £699 (AUD $1524), respectively on preorders. Ricciolo, who has a consistent track record when it comes to revealing rumored information on Sony, tweeted that the respective handsets are € 599 (AUD $959), € 699 (AUD $1119) and € 799 (AUD $1279).

According to Phone Arena, the above mentioned E.U pricing is for Italian buyers. Since smartphones carry expensive price tag in Italy, the Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium are likely to be priced around €50 lesser than the Italian pricing.

The publication speculates that the Z5 will cost around $600-$700 (AUD $855-$998); the Z5 Compact will be priced lower than the Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Premium will be costing $700 (AUD $998) or higher. Sony Xperia Z5 features a 5.2-inch full HD screen, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is fitted with a 4.6-ich HD resolution screen and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is equipped with a 4K resolution supporting 5.5-inch screen.

The trio come with common features such as IP 68 rating for water and dust resistance, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 32 GB internal storage, Android 5.1 Lollipop support for 200 GB microSDXC card and 23 MP Exmor RS rear shooter. The Xperia Z5 Compact comes with 5 MP selfie camera and 2,700 mAh battery. The Xperia Z5 features a 8 MP selfie camera and 2,900 mAh battery and the Xperia Z5 Premium also features a 8 MP front-facing shooter and a 3,430 mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will be available for purchase across the globe by October 2015. Customers will be able to buy the Xperia Z5 Premium from November 2015. The Xperia Z5 Dual and Z5 Premium Dual are the dual-SIM editions that are also expected to release in near future.
