GFXBench posted essential details on the alleged Sony Xperia Z5 Compact boasting octa-core Qualcomm CPU, Adreno 430 GPU and a 23 MP rear camera. It also performs better based on the graphics test scores compared to the Xperia Z3 Compact.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact Upgrades Compared to Xperia Z3 Compact

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has been spotted at the GFXBench website revealing important hardware specifications. Sony E5823 sports 4.5 inches of screen display excluding the onscreen buttons, 1280 by 720 resolution, 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor, Adreno 430 graphics by Qualcomm, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It also sports the similar 23 MP rear camera of the alleged Xperia Z5 capable of 4K video recording and a 5 MP front-facing camera.

Based on those details, Xperia Z5 Compact is an upgraded version of Xperia Z3 Compact in terms of performance because the latter boasts 2.5 GHz Qualcomm 801 quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics card. Imaging is also improved if compared to the 20.7 MP rear camera and a 2.2 MP front-facing shooter of Xperia Z3 Compact. Battery life is yet to be confirmed on the upcoming model and if it features an upgrade version of Fast Battery Charging technology.

GFXBench also revealed the performance of Sony Xperia Z5 Compact on Manhattan 3.0 and T-Rex 2.0 onscreen tests. On Manhattan 3.0, Xperia Z5 Compact scored 2090 frames surpassing the 1596 frames of Xperia Z3 Compact. T-Rex test revealed 3037 frames on the upcoming device while the current model only scored 2289 frames. Sony Xperia Z5 Compact scored 2324 frames or 37.5 frames per second on the Manhattan 3.1 graphics test.

Expected Features on Sony Xperia Z5 Compact

Similar with other Xperia flagship models, Xperia Z5 Compact is likely to obtain software features found on Xperia Z5 or improved versions based from Xperia Z3 Compact such as TRILUMINOS display engine, Digital Noise Cancellation and DSEE HX sound technologies and two-day battery life with fast charging.

It is also expected to have at least IP 65/68 certification for waterproof and dust-tight durability features, latest version of the Battery STAMINA mode, exclusive gaming experience with PlayStation 4 Remote Play using a DUALSHOCK4 controller, several camera applications and direct support for Sony SmartWear accessory.
