The much-awaited CES 2015 is scheduled for Jan. 6 through Jan. 9 at Las Vegas Convention Center. Sony has already announced the schedule of its press conference targeting CES 2015. During the conference, Sony is expected to launch the next-round of its flagship, a mini smartphone, a phablet and a tablet. Specifically, the company is likely to introduce the Sony Xperia Z4, Sony Xperia Z4 Compact, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, says Phone Arena.

Reportedly, the Sony press conference is set for Jan. 5 between 5:00 pm and 5:45 pm PST. To give a head start, here is a list of speculated but limited specifications and features of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact, Xperia Z4 Ultra and Xperia Z4 Tablet.

Sony Xperia Z4 And Z4 Compact Smartphones

Sony's 2015 flagship smartphone is expected to solve the cable problem persisting in Sony phones. Notably, the company uses magnetic charger, instead of the standard Qi wireless charger used by other prominent OEMs. Additionally, the housed microUSB port that loosens over a period of time and in turn, nullifies the effect of water-resistance is expected to be fixed. It is worth noting that, the Z series of phones come with IP68 rating and it is expected to continue the same in Z5 as well, reports GSM Arena.

Sony Xperia Z4 Compact, on the other hand, will reportedly maintain the same pocket-friendly 4.6-inch display. However, the screen resolution will be improved from 720p to 1080p. The same site opines that, both the Xperia Z4 smartphones will be powered by the same processor seen in the recently released Z3 and Z3 Compact i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

Moving on to the upcoming tablet, the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is believed to feature 10.1-inch display with a QHD resolution of 1440p. Nonetheless, the company is apparently testing the now-famous 4K resolution of 2160p, also referred as UHD resolution. Notably, the current-generation Sony tablets use WUXGA i.e. 1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution, says GSM Arena.

With the front-facing stereo speakers intact, the bezel surrounding the display is expected to be smaller. If reports are true, the tablet will be powered by a superior 64-bit octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) Cortex-57/53 big.LITTLE SoC. Plus, the whole configuration will be held together by a whopping 4 GB of RAM. Speaking of memory, the device is expected to come with 32 GB of internal storage capacity. The improved cameras will flaunt a 13 MP unit on the rear and an 8 MP snapper at the front.

Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra

Yes, Sony is believed to bring back the Ultra series of phablets with its Z4 line-up in 2015. The Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra will reportedly flaunt the same 6.4-inch display, however, the screen resolution will be one of QHD or 2160p, opines the same site.

Readers are advised to take the speculated specs and features with a grain of salt, since Sony has not confirmed any of the configurations thus far.
