Sony's latest sophisticated smart phone, the Sony Xperia Z, will reportedly have its launch at T-Mobile USA after leaked images emerged on the internet. In the mean time, Telstra Australia began selling the Sony Xperia Z last March 26 in black and white color choices at selected retail stores.

According to the TmoNews report, one of the largest US carriers is currently testing the Sony Xperia Z with the leaked front and back images of the T-Mobile branded smart phone. However, both Sony and T-Mobile has not given any official announcement regarding the release and availability of the Sony Xperia Z with the US carrier.

Other reports are suggesting that T-Mobile will offer the Sony Xperia Z at an upfront pric of $99 with monthly payments at approximately $20 on a two-year contract. It appears to be T-Mobile's new pricing scheme for the customers with expensive smart phones like Apple's iPhone 5.

In Telstra, Sony Xperia Z is available on four of the "Telstra Every Day Connect Plans" including the offer of only $3 per month handset repayment with the $60 plan for 24 months agreement. The Telstra plan has $600 worth of calls and MMS messages with unlimited SMS messages and 1GB of data monthly.

With Telstra's $80 and $100 Every Day Connect Plans, the Sony Xperia Z handset repayment is not required. Furthermore, Telstra sells the Sony Xperia Z smartphone at an outright price of $624. For the purple version of the Sony Xperia Z, Telstra confirmed the smart phone will be available only at online stores.

Sony Xperia Z has a 5-inch Full HD screen display with 1920x1080p resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, LTE connectivity, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.2MP front-facing camera, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. The smart phone is powered with the 2330mAh battery, a 16GB internal storage capacity with the remarkable waterproof and dustproof case.
