Sony announced the flagship Xperia XZ at the IFA Berlin event in September. It has some pretty impressive features and tech experts believe Sony has perfected the fundamentals of a great smartphone. Some are even comparing the handset to Apple iPhone 7.

The Sony Xperia XZ has a metallic body with rounded edges, Gorilla glass protection and a fingerprint scanner for added security. It has an IPS LCD Full HD 5.2-inch display with screen resolution at 1080 x 1920 pixels.

As per GSMArena, the Sony Xperia XZ has a 32GB/64GB storage option, 3GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 2,900 Li-ion battery. It weighs 160 grams and has a thickness of 8.1mm. The Xperia XZ runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system (planned upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat) and Adreno 530 GPU. Memory can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

When it comes to camera specs, the Sony Xperia XZ sports a 23MP primary and 13MP secondary camera. Camera features include LED flash, laser autofocus and phase detection, touch focus, geo-tagging, HDR, face detection and panorama.

The Sony Xperia XZ is equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 for fast battery charging. Sensors include colour spectrum, compass, barometer, proximity, gyro, accelerometer and the fingerprint sensor.

The Apple iPhone 7 has an ion-strengthened glass, pressure-sensitive Home button and aluminium chassis. The iPhone 7 too has a fingerprint scanner providing added protection to users. It has a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display, Retina HD panel and 750 x 1334 pixels resolution, writes Mobile & Apps. The 3D Touch functionality has also been incorporated into the system.

Other iPhone 7 top features include 128GB internal storage, 2GB RAM and A10 Fusion quad-core chipset. Apple iPhone 7 has a 12MP primary camera and 7MP front camera with added features such as quad-LED (dual tone) flash, OIS, phase detection autofocus, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, geo-tagging, HDR, touch focus and face/smile detection.

The Apple iPhone 7 runs on the advanced iOS 10 operating system that provides a superior interface and top graphics performance. It consists of a non-removable Li-Po 1960 mAh battery.
