The killer flagship smartphone Sony Xperia Z3 has recently been launched in the U.S. via T-Mobile. Meanwhile, the pre-order window for the compact version of the Xperia Z3 is active and the expected release date is pegged for November. However, it is not surprising that the flagship handset from Sony is heavily-priced. Therefore, interested readers looking for a mid-range Sony handset should check out the Sony Xperia T3 and the Xperia M2 LTE.

The Xperia T3 was launched in Asia and Europe several months ago. In the U.S., the handset can be purchased for $399.99 without a contract. As far as the specification goes, the Xperia T3 features a 5.3-inch display bundled with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) processor, clocked at 1.4 GHz and backed by 1 GB of RAM, according to Phone Arena.

Moving on to the camera configuration, the Xperia T3 sports a good 8 MP rear-facing unit and a 1.1 MP selfie shooter. The device comes equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card support up to 32 GB. Plus, the handset runs on Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat and is held together by a 2500 mAh battery unit.

This super-slim (0.28-inch) smartphone comes with a stainless steel frame covering the sides. Notably, the LTE connectivity in the T3 is compatible only with AT&T, T-Mobile and GSM networks. Meaning, this phone is not compatible with Verizon and Sprint LTE networks.

The Sony Xperia M2 LTE, on the other hand, is priced at $279, while the non-LTE version of the M2 can be purchased for $229. Key features of the Xperia M2 LTE include a 4.8-inch display, 540 x 960 pixels resolution, 8 GB of expandable storage, 1 GB of RAM, quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, Android OS v4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable), Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery unit, 8 MP primary camera and a VGA shooter at the front.

Similar to the Xperia T3, the Xperia M2 is compatible only with AT&T and T-Mobile LTE networks. Both the handsets come in black, purple and white hues. Potential buyers can order the aforementioned Xperia smartphones from Sony following these links Xperia T3 and Xperia M2.
