Very recently, Motorola introduced a worthy-replacement of the much-loved Moto X released in 2013. Sure, the new Motorola Moto X comes with upgraded specifications, but then, the company made sure the features that worked well with its predecessor are kept intact in its sequel. Here is a new advertisement from Motorola showcasing the Moto X like never before.

Speaking about the similarity between the 2013 and 2014 Moto X models, customising the rear shells with the help of the Moto Maker website is maintained in the 2014 version. Plus, the unibody chassis is also retained, however, the company has enhanced the look of the device by giving it an aluminium frame, reports Phone Arena.

Furthermore, the display of the Moto X has gone through some much-required change from the Active Display. Also, the scope of the Moto Assist option has been amplified and this feature can now support text-to-speech conversion. The gesture-based feature has also gone through an upgrade with Moto Actions using the new IR sensors to enable the use of gestures for selected features.

As far as the device personalisation goes, there is no other Android handset to beat the mighty Moto X. For example, the Moto Voice feature is a stand out aspect in personalisation. Apparently, the 2014 Moto X owners can "name" their device in the way they want and the handset will respond back to the assigned name. Hence, the latest Motorola ad throws in the question, "What's in a name?" and explains the significance of the names of various Moto X device users.

By all means, the Moto X is a killer smartphone that provides stock Android experience combined with a good 5.2-inch AMOLED display and 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and backed by a solid 2 GB of RAM. Other key specifications include a 2300 mAh battery unit, 16 GB and 32 GB of in-built storage capacity with no microSD card support, 13 MP primary camera and a 2 MP selfie snapper at the front. Like its predecessor, the 2014 version also supports NFC. Also it is worth noting that the Moto X comes with a water-resistant coating. Meaning, the device can endure accidental spills and drops in puddles of water.
