Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has been chosen by Tom’s Hardware as of the best at the Mobile World Congress 2015. Check out five properties which made the Xperia M4 Aqua a good mid-range smartphone.

Octa-Core Processor And 64-Bit Processing Technology

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor which features 64-bit processing technology. In theory, 64-bit processors can perform better than 32-bit and capable of processing more tasks. It enables faster loading of apps and games and supports RAM with more than 4 GB capacity. Another advantage of Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 is having eight cores to handle more calculations in a given time compared to quad-core processors.

Decent Amount Of Random Access Memory Or RAM

RAM is the main memory which remembers the active tasks currently handled by the device and Xperia M4 Aqua has a decent amount of 2 GB. It can handle several apps at once such as Facebook running with Spotify while Clash of Clans is on the screen. The 2 GB of RAM is enough for the user to utilise multitasking with ease.

Camera Power

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua has a 13 MP Exmor RS camera with HDR mode and other various optimizations. It also has a 5 MP front camera with 22 mm wide-angle lens to capture more subjects for selfie shots. The device supports several camera apps which can be used on both front and back cameras under different situations. Users can take advantage of Soft Touch of the Superior Auto mode that makes skin look softer, Portrait Retouch for beauty styles, Augmented Reality for animations and Timeshift Burst to capture the perfect moment.

IP 65 And IP 68 Certifications

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is dust-tight and water resistant of up to 30 minutes submerged under 1.5 meters of freshwater. Being water resistant allows the user to use the device to capture moments under the rain, underwater and even with water slides.

Battery Performance

Sony used the two-day battery technology on Xperia M4 Aqua, and it works with Project Volta of Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. To extend battery life, the smartphone features several power saving modes such as STAMINA mode, Extended Standby mode to intuitively turn off apps and services when the display is not in use, Extended Usage mode for up to 14 per cent more power and lastly, the Ultra STAMINA mode to limit the device to function on core services such as messages and calls only.

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is a mid-range smartphone released in June 2015. Its main selling point is the water resistant property combined with decent front and rear cameras and 64-bit octa-core processor versus competitive models being offered by other brands.
