Sony Xperia C5 Ultra vs. Sony Xperia Z3+ specs comparison

In the last couple of months Sony has come up with a host of new smartphones including the M4 Aqua, its flagship Xperia Z3+ followed by the recently launched duo Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5. Despite having low end specs the latest addition to the Xperia C series appears to be a strong contender against its flagship Xperia Z3+.
The Xperia C45 is bigger but Xperia Z3+ is slimmer
The Xperia C5 Ultra measures 164.2 x 79.6mm while the Xperia Z3+ is only 146.3 x 71.9mm so significantly smaller. The Xperia C5 Ultra comes in black, white and a mint green with dual-SIM (Nano SIM and dual stand-by) whereas the Xperia Z3+ is available in black, white, bronze and aqua green with a Nano SIM, as stated by GSM Arena.
The Xperia Z3+ is also slimmer at 6.9mm compared to 8.2mm for C5 Ultra. The Xperia Z3+ is also lighter and weighs 144g compared to 187g of Xperia C5 Ultra.
Xperia C5 Ultra is larger display but Xperia Z3+ is sharper
The Xperia C5 Ultra sports a 6-inch LCD display whereas Xperia Z3+ has a 5.2-inch display. Both the smartphones tout IPS displays but the Xperia Z3+ offers Triluminos and X-Reality which results in better color and brightness. Both the devices offer the same 1920 x 1080 resolution but Xperia Z3+ have sharper image thanks to the pixel density of 424ppi (pixel per inch). On the other hand, the C5 ultra sports 367ppi which considered to be low for a display of 6-inch.
Xperia C5 Ultra has a better camera
The Xperia C5 Ultra features a 13-megapixel rear camera that offers 4x digital zoom along with another 13-megapixel front shooter especially built for selfies. Both the back and front camera is equipped with LED flash. Both the cameras include Sony Exmor RS sensor tech, HDR and auto preset modes, reports Android Central.
On the other hand, Xperia Z3+ has a 20.7-megapixel rear snapper with 8x digital zoom and a 5-megapixel front camera. Both C5 Ultra and Z3+ have wide-angle lens and are capable of 1080p video recording from their front-facing snappers. Both the C5 Ultra and the Z3+ are capable of 1080p video recording from their front-facing snappers.
Xperia Z3+ offers more storage and faster processor
The Xperia Z3+ has 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of expandable memory up to 128GB via microSD card. But the Xperia C5 Ultra is supported by 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage with microSD support for up to 200GB.
The Xperia C5 Ultra is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek chip coupled with Mali-T760MP2 GPU whereas the Xperia Z3+ is run by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is made up of a 2GHz quad-core chip and a 1.5GHz quad-core chip. But they both run on Android Lollipop, as mentioned by Pocket Lint.
Other differences
The flagship Xperia Z3+ comes with additional features such as PS4 Remote Play which allows users with a PlayStaion 4 to play their console games on their smartphone. C5 Ultra does not come with such high end features but will still offer Sony's entertainment apps.
The flagship Xperia Z3+ is smaller, lighter and flaunts a sharper display with more internal storage and a more powerful processor. The Xperia C5 Ultra is nowhere close to the Xperia Z3+ in terms of specs but it touts an amazing front camera with larger display. Although the Xperia Z3+ has the better specs but the Xperia C5 Ultra might be good enough for a average smartphone user.
