Sony's wearable gadget SmartWatch 3 is back in stock at the Google Play Store. Upon purchasing the Android Wear OS-powered smartwatch, buyers will receive their gadget in one to two business/working days.

Apart from Google Play Store, the Sony SmartWatch 3 can also be purchased from Verizon. This smartwatch can be used with any compatible smartphone to notify the wearer of incoming calls and text messages. Furthermore, the device can also play music with the help of the Walkman player app when paired to a smartphone or a tablet, according to Phone Arena.

As far as the price goes, the Sony SmartWatch 3 will set buyers back by $249. It is worth noting that the recent additions to the smartwatch list, namely, Motorola Moto 360 and LG G Watch R smartwatches cost $249 and $299, respectively.

Moving on to the key specifications, the Sony SmartWatch 3 features a 1.6-inch square TFT LCD display complemented by 320 x 320 pixels resolution. The gear is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and backed by 512 MB of RAM. In terms of memory, the watch is equipped with 4 GB of internal storage. This whole configuration is backed up by a solid 420 mAh battery unit.

Adding cherry on top, the device comes with IP68 rating. This means that the Sony gadget can withstand 4.9 feet underwater submersion for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the housed sensors include Ambient Light, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope and GPS. The gear also supports Wi-Fi and is available in black.

Potential buyers should note that the Sony SmartWatch 3 is the only Android Wear-powered gadget that comes with built-in GPS facility. The SmartWatch 3 has the ability to pair with any device running on Android v4.3 or higher with the help of the Bluetooth connectivity. Furthermore, voice commands can also be used to activate Google Search, says the same site.
