It has been reported by Venture Capital Post that Sony will be launching the PlayStation 5 in 2018 - a time that is reportedly considered to be the most ideal for the company to release the new version of the gaming console. Sadly for those who have long been waiting for the PlayStation 5, it would appear that the wait has become even longer.

It may be true that Sony will opt to forego the upcoming Gamescon event, which has already been slated for Aug. 5, but that does not necessarily mean that the company does not have any huge announcement to make sometime soon. According to the report, Sony might confirm the rumored PlayStation 5 release date rumors that are making their rounds on the Internet at present.

A separate report from Venture Capital Post has stated that the Sony PlayStation 5 will actually be out sometime this year. Apparently, not many gamers were delighted about this information, as many ended up raging that it was far too soon for the PS5 to be launched, considering that the PS4 has just recently been released in the market.

These rumors paved the way for a new set of rumors that say Sony is going to make the company’s regular milestone announcement during Paris Games Week this year. And, according to the report, the announcement may have something to do with the launch of the all-new PlayStation 4 Slim.

While the gaming world awaits for further news about the PlayStation 5 and its official release date, Sony has revealed what new games have just been launched for the PlayStation 4, such as the standalone version of “The Las of Us: The Left Behind.”

Other games listed on the PlayStation Blog include “Breach & Clear” – a game that allows the player to specialize in numerous military tactics, “ArcaniA: The Complete Tale” – a game about a power-hungry king who sets forth to conquer the southern islands, “Arcade Archives Double Dragon” – a game about two brothers fighting evil in order to save Marian, and “Color Guardians” – a game about tricky obstacles.
