The Sony PlayStation 5 is one of today’s much awaited game consoles, especially since its predecessor, the PS4, was launched nearly two years ago. Sadly, its makers have managed to keep mum about whether or not the device is already on its way to production.

However, Realty Today has reported that the PS5 is actually going to be out in a much smaller and more compact hardware since it’s the Japanese company’s main priority nowadays is mobility. To compensate for the smaller size, Latino Post is convinced that Sony will reportedly pack it with more power and better features.

Plus, since the device is going to be in a smaller package, the loud “Loading Disc” noise – which has been the gist of a lot of today’s avid PlayStation gamers – can be reduced, if not eliminated.

An example of such improved feature is a developed cooling system that can prevent the unit from overheating despite prolonged gaming. Also, to help gamers easily and quickly identify the buttons for Open Disc and Power, Sony will reportedly make use of illuminated buttons.

However, Venture Capital Post is convinced that size does matter. According to the report, for Sony to be able to be at par with its rivals in the gaming market, it will have to launch a bigger PS5 console.

Now that mobile technology companies have also transformed their mobile gadgets, such as phablets and smartphones, into enjoyable gaming devices, the PlayStation series must keep up with the times. The company will have to retain the normal size, if not make it a little bigger, for introducing new amazing features in order to attract more players.

Sadly, no details have been provided regarding the official release date of the PS 5. However, taking a look at the company’s launch calendar, it looks like gamers will have to wait for five more years before the unit is finally released into the market.
