Sony announced the launch of the new Xperia Z4 tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2015. The company claims it to be the "world’s lightest 10-inch tablet with the brightest 2k display".

The new Sony Xperia Z4 tablet was supposed to be out for sale by the end of May. However, due to some unknown reason the launch date has been postponed as mentioned on the official Xperia blog. The last expected launch date was 22nd June. There has been no communication from Sony regarding the delay. Nevertheless the blog confirms pre-ordered delivery will start from 29th June, 2015.

The additional hardware comprises of 11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and MHL 3.0. The optional Bluetooth keyboard dock is also available which supports tilt and trackpad. There is a Wi-Fi only model as well. With 3G/4G LTE connectivity, phone calls can also be made from this model.

The super –thin new Sony Xperia Z4 tablet has the potential to become one of the best of its kind. Sony pre-loads all its own apps like Walkman, Album, and PlayStation. Sony also promises software upgrades, cloud storage, themes, video and music for the life of the tablet.
