Ed Sheeran jammed with Sir Elton John for his Sydney concert at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday. Nearly 48,000 people seated amongst the audience went berserk on this double musical treat as John Elton hit the stage between Sheeran's performance on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”

Sheeran was welcomed on the stage with a heavy outpour but nothing could really affect the enthusiasm and spirit at the Allianz Stadium. Rather than delaying the concert, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer hopped on to the stage to deliver his performance on “I’m A Mess” and “Lego House.”

Even the clouds joined in symphony to Sheeran’s tunes and the audience was seen grooving and singing in the rain. The fireworks, the rain and the music, all poured in synchronization to make way for a perfect gig.

“I have to say I have never done a concert like this and the atmosphere is ... already you are the loudest crowd in Australia,” Sheeran bustled with joy from the stage and appreciated the spirit of the audience.

Sheeran’s performance was underscored by his collaboration with one of the biggest pop stars in the world, as Sir Elton John joined in for a couple of songs.

Team Sheeran posted a video of the concert on its Twitter page.

“Surprise.... Sir Elton John no palco com Ed no Allianz Stadium em Sydney © mizzue ❤ #EdSheeran

#MTVStars Ed Sheeran,” read the video caption.

The view at the Allianz Stadium looked straight out of a movie as the duo performed on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” and left the crowd amused over their jamming session on the stage. Elton John also happens to run Sheeran's management company and has appeared with Sheeran on previous occasions too, including the 2013 Grammy Awards.

The people from the audience too could not stop gushing about the concert on the Internet. Some of the fans took to Twitter to appreciate Sheeran’s performance.

Sheeran’s next tour has been scheduled in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday.
