Since the launch of “The Sims 4,” a lot has happened in terms of Sims years in over a million Sim lives and characters that have been created. Electronic Arts has released a colourful and detailed infographic showing off what has happened in the world of “The Sims 4” since release.

To date, there are over 32 million Sims that have been created, with 5.7 million Sim babies born. Apart from babies, there are also some signs of love filling the world of Sims. Aspiration-wise, the more popular is love compared to fortune. And in terms of lasting relationships, only 40% of Sims are married compared to 2$ of Sims who have divorced. To seal the deal, 105 million woohoos have happened, which averages to more than four times every month that actual U.S. married couples do.

Even in “The Sims 4” world, death is inevitable, but the latest statistics of death show that death can be less gloomy. The most common death appear to be old age at 32%, while hunger and fire follow at 18% and 14% respectively. However, what is interesting is the number of deaths by laughter, which have amounted to 3,000.

Close at the heels of the celebration is an expected new free patch coming at the end of the month. Games.on has spotted a tweet via the official “The Sims” Twitter that basements will come with the free update.

Talking about patches, EA has also released a general update that fixes some crashes for both the PC and Mac version. The developer made it available before “The Sims 4: Get to Work” expansion becomes available.

The full list of performance and crash fixes is detailed in the link here. But generally, the general fixes can be expected:

- Fix for “failed to load object” error

There are also some Mac-specific fixes, such as issues on the game being unable to launch or initialize and texture loading. There are also some general fixes in the Mac version’s interface.

In the meantime, EA has released the official gameplay trailer for “The Sims 4: Get to Work” expansion. The trailer shows some of the jobs that can be done, such as having a boutique, having a bakery, or a photography studio. Interestingly, the bakery setting was mentioned to be in a basement, the recently confirmed feature coming in the next update. There’s also helpful information in the trailer on how to make your business run more efficiently with the use of perk points. The DLC is expected to hit sometime in April.
