Sharon Osbourne, British television host and author, revealed that she tried to hurt herself to impress Ozzy Osbourne, her husband, when they were still dating. She made the confession on Wednesday on The Talk's Secret Week.

According to She Knows, Sharon kept it a secret because she was embarrassed of her actions and felt stupid that she took to such means to impress someone. She told her fellow co-hosts that she wanted to share such experience because she learned a lot from it.

Mrs. Osbourne further detailed that when she was 27 and dating Ozzy, Ozzy asked her how much she loved him. In an attempt to show him, she said, "I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you." Sharon then stated that she went to the service room table and picked up the steak knife and slit her wrist.

The TV host had to be hospitalized during the time and her case was declared as an attempted suicide. Though the cuts healed, she was affected to a great degree, mentally, Sharon said in the interview. She said, "I permanently scarred my wrist, and I was on lockdown for being overly dramatic and drunk." She further stated that she would often tell people that she was attacked by a dog.

Pointing toward the scars, Sharon said that it was embarrassing because the scars are still there. She hopes that her story sends out a message to people to never hurt themselves for any reason.
