The new Nexus 7 tablet is expected to make its appearance at the fast-approaching Google I/O event from May 15 to May 17 at San Francisco, California. More information on the second-generation tablet's features and specifications were leaked with a hinted release date on June 2013.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has confirmed the previous reports about thenew Nexus 7. According to Kuo, the tablet will feature a Full HD screen display with 1980x1200p resolution which is an increase from the existing 1280x800p resolution.

Other features and specs include the 5MP rear-facing camera that the Nexus 7 did not have, the wireless charging and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. The analyst was also the latest to declare that the new Nexus 7 tablet will be put up on sale for a price of $199 this coming month of June.

"We are positive on Nexus 7's reception ahead of the iPad mini 2 launch given that the specs have been upgraded but the price has not been increased. However, tablet PC competition has become much fiercer this year so we reckon the new Nexus 7 year-on-year shipments growth will be limited," Kuo stated.

Aside from the new Nexus 7 tablet, Google is expected to unveil as well an improved version of the Nexus 4 smart phone. It will reportedly have a similar look with the existing Nexus 4 with support on 4G LTE for faster online connection, 32GB internal storage capacity and the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Google has not yet confirmed or denied that the new Nexus 7 tablet will appear at the Google I/O developer conference. However, an adequate amount of information has been leaked already through accurate sources, manufacturing and supply partners that appear relatively certain about the announcement on the 7-inch tablet running on a Qualcomm processor with 4G LTE support for fast internet connection.
